I am PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame focused on applied microeconomics. My primary interests lie at the intersection of development economics and political economy. My research investigates how institutions and gender influence economic and human development. I am currently examining electoral redistricting, gender quotas for political office, banning female genital cutting, and long-run impacts of colonial institutions. My research has been published at the Journal of Development Economics and is forthcoming at the Journal of Population Economics.
I am a PhD Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and a graduate student affiliate of the Building Inclusive Growth (BIG) Lab.
